The 9th Annual Moore Heritage Festival of the Arts and Humanities
April 17-21, 2012
Ken Rhoden attended the festival in Mims on Saturday, April 21. The crowd enjoyed the festival and all the activities including live entertainment, health fair, food & craft vendors, and tours of the Moore Family Home replica. The Moore Heritage Festival is presented by The Harry T. and Harriette V. Moore Cultural Complex, Inc. and was held at the Harry T. and Harriette V. Moore Memorial Park (Freedom Avenue, Mims, FL). Ken extends his thanks to everyone who stopped to say hello and offer their congratulations on his recent qualification by petition.

The Moore Heritage Festival of the Arts and Humanities strives to promote awareness, appreciation, and celebration of Harry T. and Harriette V. Moore’s lives and their unique contributions to the early civil rights movement; the preservation of African American culture and local heritage; and creation of a family-oriented atmosphere.

To educate and enlighten local, national, and international visitors by exploring the legacy of Harry T. and Harriette V. Moore and other local contributors to history and culture through the Arts and Humanities.

Many people ask questions of Ken as he is out in the community and often these questions have to do with what the Public Defender does and what area it covers. This position is the Public Defender of Seminole County AND the Public Defender of Brevard County. These two counties are referred to as the 18th Judicial Circuit.
